We are so delighted to invite you to our new outdoor events season - Alfresco at the Distillery. We have teamed up with Cotswolds-based production company, Hambletts to create a dazzling programme of comedy, music, theatre and entertainment here at the Distillery, which runs from July 1 to September. Come and join us for a sparkling summer of entertainment! Highlights include:
The first ever Cotswolds Distillery Comedy Festival (July 6-8) features three days of comedy with some of the nation’s finest talent, including Lucy Porter, Hal Cruttenden, Stephen Bailey, Nabil Abdulrashid, Amy Gledhill, Terry Alderton, and Zoe Lyons.
Choir in a Day (July 1) - Juliet Russell, vocal coach on Michael McIntyre’s Big Show and The Voice, will lead an uplifting, inclusive Choir in a Day, with an opportunity to learn contemporary vocal and performance skills.
Summer Soul (July 1) – A fabulous summer evening of soul with top band Family Funk, plus Juliet Russell and our very own Cotswolds Distillery Choir!
Outdoor Theatre/Opera - Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, with original music, from The Duke’s Theatre Company, plus Opera Anywhere’s joyful, Carry On inspired version of The Mikado (with a chance to join their ‘Come and Sing Chorus’), and a gorgeous, multi-media/music/puppetry version of The Ugly Duckling for the whole family.
The Real Garden Festival (July 29) - This family-friendly festival celebrates gardens, nature and the environment, discovering how we can all make a positive difference, through small changes. Featuring expert talks, with garden writers Rekha Mistry, Alice Vincent and Becky Searle, Garden Organic, and FarmEd; Botanicals Masterclasses with the Distillery; live music, artists, crafts, Whichford Pottery, bees, foraging walks, campfire crooning, and an Insect Game Show…
Stargazing Live for all the family, with Chipping Norton Amateur Astronomy Group
Speakeasy – Sshhh, for one night only….the Distillery will transform into a New York prohibition-era Speakeasy, with secret bar, dancing, entertainment, and lashings of razzle-dazzle.

Alfresco events are in Phillip’s Field at the Distillery. You can pre-order delicious food from our Still House Café, together with our award-winning spirits, cocktails, wine, local cider, beers and soft drinks, or bring a picnic. There is ample level parking, and dogs with well-behaved owners are welcome. Please bring your chairs, rugs, - whatever makes you comfortable - and do bear in mind these are outdoor events, so dress appropriately!
Ingredients
(Serves 1):
- 30ml our Hedgerow Gin
- 15ml Lemon juice
- 10ml honey syrup or sugar syrup
- Champagne
How to make
Place the top 3 ingredients into an ice-filled shaker, shake and strain into a chilled coupe glass & top up with champagne.
Embellish with seasonal berries or pomegranate seeds.
