How long have you worked for the Cotswolds Distillery, and what does your role as Operations Director involve?

My role as Operations Director involves general site management, overseeing our retail outlets and visitor centre, as well as handling HR responsibilities. It’s a role that requires a dynamic approach and an ability to manage a broad spectrum of activities."
What excites you the most about your role?
"The variety is what excites me the most; every day is different. I get to work with a fantastic team, and it's thrilling to play a part in the development of the business over these nine years, particularly seeing how our whisky portfolio has evolved."
What has been your proudest moment during your career here so far?
"Being made a director of the company was a defining moment for me. It was a proud acknowledgment of my contributions, especially memorable alongside the launch of our whisky in 2017, and playing an instrumental role in the opening of our new visitor centre in 2019 and our offsite shops."
What is the most rewarding aspect of working at the distillery for you?
"Supporting the team and contributing to the growth of the business are immensely rewarding. It’s about seeing people develop, embracing challenges, and pushing the boundaries of what we can achieve together."
Can you name some of the women in the spirits industry or other sectors who have inspired you and why?
"Emma Fox, a fellow board member at the Cotswolds Distillery, who works at Berry Bros, has been a significant inspiration. Her leadership and strategic vision within the industry demonstrate the impact that thoughtful and innovative management can have."
What advice would you give to other women looking to pursue a career in the distilling or wider spirits industry?
