Chocolate Sazerac Cocktail

Made using our Sherry Cask whisky, this riff on the classic Sazerac cocktail has a rich, complex depth of red fruits, tantalising liquorice-like aromatics, and a dark chocolatey finish.

Ingredients

(Serves 1):

  • 45ml Cotswolds Sherry Cask Whisky
  • 10ml Absinthe
  • 15ml Chocolate wine (optional)
  • 2 dashes Peychaud’s bitters

How to make

Fill an old-fashioned glass with ice, pour absinthe over the ice and rest. Place all other ingredients into an ice filled cocktail jar & stir for about 20 seconds.

Discard ice, absinthe & water from the chilled old fashioned glass and pour contents of the cocktail jar into the absinthe coated glass. 

Embellish with lemon peel.
